Information for International Students
International students are welcome to apply. However, students on or applying for an F-1 visa must meet all federal and institutional requirements:
F-1 Students Must:
- Attend all required in-person sessions (residencies) on campus each semester (online-only attendance is not allowed)
- Maintain full-time enrollment (minimum 6 credits per semester / session)
- Follow a fixed course schedule to comply with the university’s requirement for a full course of study: Enroll in all semesters and session (Fall, Spring, and Summer) each academic year with no summer breaks. There are still short academic breaks between semesters, please refer to the academic calendar for more details.
Work Authorization Guidelines:
- CPT (Curricular Practical Training) is available after completing two full academic semesters (Fall and Spring) in valid F-1 status
- OPT (Optional Practical Training) may be available after program completion, subject to DSO recommendation and USCIS approval
- Students transferring from another institution or pursuing a second master’s degree must consult with BAU’s DSO to assess prior CPT/OPT usage and maintain eligibility.
⚠️ All international students must maintain full compliance with SEVIS requirements and consult BAU’s DSO and their academic advisor before accepting internships, employment, or making changes to their course load.
